This has to be my favorite pic of me and my dad!

About 12 years ago I did a pencil sketch and had all these little sayings from dad on it and framed it in a 8×10 frame for dad for Christmas or Fathers Day I cant remember. Anyway I decided to do an updated version of “I heard it from my Dad”. He has been gone for over 5 years now and I can still hear some of these things echo through my head….lol.

I am not 100% happy with it but I love the fact that I condensed 6 pictures into one page!!!! I have a really hard time doing that it seems.

The layout is a scraplift of the one on pg. 33 of the FW07/08 SU Catty! There was a challenge in the Feb page challenge that I am in to scraplift this LO and it is just the motivation needed.

I used RRed, Dashing DSP, MMoss, OOlive & VVanilla Papers and inks. Sets used are Big Deal Alpha, Along the Same Lines, So Many Scalops & Journaling block. All that with a little piece of OOlive Ribbon!!!

This second Page is of my “2″ Great Kids! I scraplifted the title (2 Great Kids, 1 Great Life) from Beate. Hope you dont mind Beate!

I have been wanting to do this page for a long time now but just never seemed to get to it. Finally here it is!

The Pic was taken Today at Mary Jo Peckham park. What a georgeous place.

I used WWhite textured and smooth paper and River rock paper, RRock and HHunter inks, Big Deal Numbers and another hand drawn journaling pannel stamp along with a piece of ribbon from Michaels.

I have been so lazy in the scrapbooking department latley that I have fallen behind on my commitment to complete 10 pages in the month of February!

I have decided that this year I am going to focus more on my scrapbooking than on card making and so I have joined forces with a bunch of other ladies over at SCS to finnish an x number of pages before years end. We are doing it monthly and because I have missed January I’ll somehow try to make up. My goal for the year is 100 pages (digi & OS) and for Febuary’s challenge it is 10 pages. I am counting this as page 1/10.

I took this pic 2 days ago after a hair cut and just love how it turned out. The Title and side stuff are rub-ons I got at Archivers last week. I started with a RRed background to compliment my glasses and accented with Black and white. The little bit of journaling says….” I have a hubby that loves me, georgeous boys, a beautiful home a happy marrige and all the scrapbooking stuff I could ever ask for….LIFE IS GOOD” and then I signed my name and the year on the bottom.

We have a room to the left when you walk into my house that has a pool table in it and we lovingly call it My Dh’s room. So when trying to figure out what we would decorate it with I came up with the following plan.

The room will be painted Chocolate chip and River rock colors that I have color matched at Home Depot. I bought a few accents at Hobby Lobby in the same tones to help out like a shadowbox of fishing stuff….mini of course and 3 old style airplanes to hang from the celing. I gave him a rod rack for christmas which he has in there with 5 rods on it. Looks really cool. The room, in the end, should have a masculine touch. I couldnt let it go without adding my personal touch too though….lol
I created this canvas. It is a 16 x 20 canvas. I made the strip down with CChip and RRock paper and added the pics with glue pop dots. I also added a few co-ordinating buttons and the word Fishing up the side. Once the wall gets painted it should pop a little more but for now it looks great even if I do say so myself!!!
